PLS Lens Series Brings New Dynamics to the World of Performance Eyewear

SOLA Sunlens, leading manufacturer of premium plastic sunglass lenses, today announced the launch it's Performance Lens Series. This new line of lenses offers sports enthusiasts and weekend warrior's new options for enhancing their athletic performance.

In the past sunglasses were primarily utilized for eye protection from the sun as opposed to a fashion performance accessory, but no more. Today, we expect sunglasses to provide certain levels of performance attributes with specific expectations for a wide variety of activities and use. At SOLA Sunlens we have always recognized the performance side of sunglass lenses and are taking this to an even higher level with our new PLS - Performance Lens Series. The EVS lens provides outstanding straight ahead vision; while the field of clear vision is enhanced and widened to provide sharper vision and a "panoramic" effect as the eye moves away from the center of the lens towards the edge. On the road, ambient illumination is critical. The Driver's Seat lens incorporates "image intensifier" filters that improve light adaptation during both bright and low light conditions. Snow Country: Seeing the undulations in terrain while Skiing, Snow Boarding, Snow Mobiling, Cross Country and a variety of winter activities is the focus of this tint. The combination of "spectral sensitive" filters highlight critical red, green and yellow portions of the spectrum, which provide comfort in bright reflective conditions that allow normal color perception and dark adaptation when the sun sets. The "wow" effect of this lens is instantly recognizable and works in variety of lighting conditions found on the mountain.

Water Park: This exceptional lens, primarily designed for water activities, is able to filter out specific light configuration. Great for Water Skiing, Sailing, Power Boating, Jet Skiing and more the Water Park lens provides superior protection and visual comfort. Water and sky will appear "Bluer and Truer" the white peaks of the water and the clouds in the sky will "Sparkle" while vivid colors will "Pop".

Field of Play: Based on our Pacific University research, we have created the Field of Play lens to provide a unique balance of target and background brightness. This unique lens was tailored to accommodate for grass reflecting only a low amount of incident light. Whether seeing a ball in flight against the sky or to pick up the Tennis ball coming off the court or the Soccer ball flying towards the goal, this unique lens is made for activities in your chosen Field of Play. While controlling low-level blue light, the middle range is selectively manipulated to provide optimum visual stimulation and distinctive "object illumination".
