SEARS CANADA Issues Safety Notice On Girls Sunglasses

Sears Canada Inc. has been advised by Luna International of a potential safety hazard relating to plastic sunglasses with decorative floral appliqués on the outer corners, designed for girls 6 to 12 years old.

Sears is issuing this notice to alert customers to a potential safety hazard involving the floral appliqués. It has been discovered that the floral appliqués on the sunglasses may become unglued and fall off. These displaced appliqués could pose a potential choking hazard to young children.

Although there have been no reported injuries, customers who purchased the sunglasses should return them as soon as possible to their nearest Sears retail store for a full refund.

Sears Canada has immediately pulled the item off sale and will be posting signs in all of its retail stores to advise customers of this recall.
