Hobie Designs, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a global license agreement with New York based and California lifestyle eyewear manufacturer, Eyeking L.L.C. to design, source, market and distribute Hobie Polarized Sunglasses.

Since 1982, Hobie has promoted the importance of wearing polarized eyewear, becoming a pioneer and leader in the premium polarized sunglass industry. Eyeking will offer an all polarized eyewear line with Hobie's highly regarded classic polarized lenses, available in Copper, Grey, Sightmaster and Photochromic Copper lenses, in fresh new frame styles.

The team at Eyeking has an excellent understanding of the eyewear market through its nearly 50 year history in the eyewear industry. Eyeking will introduce a fresh new collection of Hobie Polarized Sunglasses with previews at ASR and Surf Expo in the fall of 2003.

To satisfy the demand for current Hobie Polarized Sunglass customers, Eyeking will assist Hobie and offer a selection of high profile and successful styles from previous collections. According to Hobie, We have loyal and dedicated retailers and consumers calling us daily. It is these customers that we would like to satisfy in the short term until Eyeking is prepared for the launch.
